Grande Prairie's only Women's Emergency Shelter
Statement of Philosophy
- The original motivation for the development of the residence was a concern regarding the lack of supportive accommodations in the Grande Prairie community for women in need.
- The Association recognized the need to advocate for women in a society which does not always respond to the unique needs of women.
- The organization recognized the need for women to take control and responsibility for their own lives. Thus, the goal of the support provided for the women is to facilitate this end.
