Summary of Position
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the main objective of the Facilities Cook is to prepare food using raw ingredients and various cooking techniques for up to 42 women and children seven (7) days per week. In conjunction with the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Cook is responsible to meal plan and refine the meal plan when necessary and to accommodate any dietary restrictions. The facilities cook will assist with food cost tracking, inventory and weekly food orders. In addition, they are responsible for the cleanliness of cooking equipment and work areas and will ensure food is prepared according to Food Safe guidelines. In addition to the planning and preparation to daily meals, the Facilities Cook is responsible to prepare food trays for onsite meetings and weekly Groups as requested. Occasional guidance and supervision of kitchen volunteers is required.
