Joanne Peckham

Joanne relocated to Grande Prairie from Athabasca in February 2019 and started with Impact Grande Prairie the following March. She has helped to coordinate the rebranding process of Prevention of Family Violence Network to the provincial initiative of IMPACT. She is a trained Victim Services Advocate, and will be training for court once the restrictions are lifted. She sits as a member at large for the newly created Policing Advisory board for the city of GP. She is an active Swan City Rotary member, and a board of director for GPRTA. Joanne is a proud GP friendship center volunteer and chairs the Indigenous relations committee through her Rotary. She is a strong supporter of the GP Chamber of Commerce.  Her motto is service before self and finds it rewarding to give back to the community. She hopes to continue to help individuals in vulnerable sectors and use her voice with Impact to amplify voices of those in need of protection and support.
