After a hiatus Natasha Streeter has returned to Odyssey House and Serenity Place as the new Director of Programs. She has been a registered social worker since 2010, I have spent the bulk of my career in the family violence sector. Natasha is originally from Grimshaw and that has influenced her passion for all things northern and rural most specifically social work practice. In addition, she is the chair of the Prevention of Family Violence Network for Grande Prairie, and recently completed a master’s in social work. The focus of Natasha’s Masters Cap Stone Project was Feminist Leadership Theory in Community Development work, which was a natural pairing with her lived experiencing practicing and living in northern and rural contexts. She is passionate about bringing awareness to the complexities that exist within service delivery in the family violence sector in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas and how that impacts those who experience family violence. She is looks forward to continuing to engage in acts of social advocacy and social action in her practice and life. She is a proud mother of three spirited children and one bull dog.
