Become a Sponsor this Holiday Season!

Adopt a family is a Christmas Giving Program that supports single parent/guardian families in the Grande Prairie community during the holiday season.

We understand that Christmas can be a challenging time for many families. Our program's mission is to assist those who could use financial support to ensure a Christmas dinner and a few presents under the tree for their loved ones.

How it works:

When you join the Adopt-a-Family program as a sponsor, you will be matched with a family in need. We’ll provide details about the family, such as their interests, hobbies, clothing sizes, gender, and ages, to help you choose personalized gifts for them to enjoy on Christmas morning.

As part of your sponsorship, we kindly ask that you purchase gifts for both the children and their caregiver, along with a grocery gift card. The caregiver loves to wrap the children's gifts, so please include wrapping supplies and leave those gifts unwrapped. You’re welcome to wrap the caregiver’s gift if you wish.

Make sure to label each gift and the grocery gift card with the unique identifier we provide. Only include new items please.

Choose Your Sponsorship Level and Make a Difference:

Research indicates that the average cost of holiday gifts falls between $75 to $150 per child, and approximately $150 for the caregiver of the family.

Gifts must be delivered by December 10th, 2024. If you are unable to deliver, please contact Odyssey House to schedule a pick-up.
